In this strategy video, poker professional Phil Gordon gives his insight on how to play small pocket pairs when playing heads up.

In my opinion small pocket pairs are strong when playing heads up. Getting value out of your pocket pair is always difficult, since you need to protect it. What is your opinion about how to play pocket pairs?

When to go all in?

What this movie where Phil Gordon answers the question, when to go all in?

How to get complete value of your the nuts? Give the player cheap / free card to see the turn when you have a monster. Hoping that, if you have the nuts, the turn/river will complete a hand for your opponent will be the perfect moment to go all-in. The other player might consider this play as a bluff. Ah well, there are many ways every hand can be played, and it’s very hard to determine which way is best…

You might consider to get a loan / dept to start playing on the high stakes, where players think more about their moves, and don’t call with shitty hands… ;)
